Mobile broadband expiry of credit

I have recently bought a vodafone K3565 refresh pay as you go mobile broadband dongle from Tesco.It came with a 3gb initial credit which the assistant assured me would not expire after after 30 days but would last for 270 days,is this correct?When i connected the dongle and loaded the software it states that the 3gb allowance will run out after 30 days,can you help?

I'm afraid you were mis-advised

We only do two variants of Pay-as-you-Go modems. You either have a 1GB allowance which doesn't expire (unless your number is deactivated through not being used at least once every 180 days), or a 3G allowance which expires after 30 days.

Since you've got the 3G allowance, this would expire after just 30 days
