Great! The 'my vodafone' app does not show payg add-on data, it shows data as 0 even when you buy an add-on.
The support site instructs you to use the 'my vodafone' website instead, which in turn does not let you log on unless you can receive the access code.
So unless you are lucky enough to have SIMULTANEOUS wi-fi and also phone signal, you cannot ever find out how much data you have.
Even if you do have both, you have to go through a really complicated song and dance. Why don't they change the app to show all available data including add-ons????? Are they just trying to discourage payg customers?
This mistake cannot be unintentional.

Sadly didn't work.....Still no Extras showing - I've currently got Texts and Data.
Also they don't show on the Managing Extras menu on the web version either - says "You have not set up any of these services yet"
Current usage on the web does show them correctly....as does calling 2345 .

I wonder if Extra Minutes behave differently from the Data and Text versions? I haven't got a standard Extra at present, since I decided to use some Rewards Points for my current Minutes.
However, I did have Extra Minutes until 27 Nov, and that did show under Managing Extras, though there wasn't any means of stopping it, so I had to use the "text STOP MINS to 49500" route - the original and still the best!
Grrrr! I really don't need an Extra at present, let alone one of each type, to do a compare-and-contrast job on them. In theory my PAYG costs should be very low, but I can't resist experimenting to discover how various things work out in practice, and it comes out a bit more expensive than planned. However, I think I draw the line at 4 simultaneous Extras which I simply don't require!

I know what you mean - I can get away with running my phone with a Text and Web freebee one month and then a Text Extra + Data Extra the next month using up the £10 paid the previous month ....always loathed to have them overlapping. [.... I make very few phone calls]
VF should give you a free contract because of all the work you do on here!
Rather annoying to have to log in the web site to currently check usage at present.

My Vodafone app updated today on Android - I was filled with hope!
Alas no change even after a reset - still no Extra Data or Extra Texts showing on the app............ :smileymad:
ie.
When I have a Text and Web Freebee they show up on both the Home screen and also under "products and services" with the circular graphics.
When I have either/or/both Data Extra and Text Extra this only ever showed as a graphic on products and services; never on the home screen.
Now sadly the Extras are not showing anywhere which must a fault .....been at least 4 weeks now and counting :smileyfrustrated:

I'll need an Extra Minutes on 26 December, so I'll see where that appears, and with what information. Probably will get an Extra Data, though for a different account, ahead of that. As I send about 10 texts in a heavy month, I have to draw the line at Extra Texts, but at least two Extras should give some information.
I noticed today that 2345 is giving a lot more information "up front", rather than having to prise it out a morsel at a time, so some things seem to be moving forward. A pity if the app is going in the opposite direction.

Not sure whether this casts any light for you or not, but yesterday I went for an Extra Data - this is not on the account where I'm reasonably sure that details of Extra Minutes have shown up correctly. I also noticed that the account in question wasn't opted in to Vodafone International, which shows in the app on my main account - as that's free for PAYG, I decided to opt in. Both transactions were confirmed almost immediately, and the Extra Data showed up on my online account at the same time. Vodafone International never seems to show anywhere in the online account, but I had a cast around for luck, and couldn't find it.
After an hour or so, the app reflected the reduction of balance by £5 for the Extra, but by the end of yesterday, neither the Extra not V International were showing. However, I've just tried again, and both are showing correctly on the Products and Services page of the app. Below is a screenshot showing an exhausted Freebie Data, and correct details of the Extra Data. These screenshots are rather unwieldy, so I'm not showing the lower part of the screen, but it's in line with what I posted above for my main account.
TBH I'm not very keen to buy an Extra Minutes on either of the accounts, as I'm reasonably sure that it was displaying correctly relatively recently, and I've got plenty of Rewards Points that I'd prefer to use. But I think I've established that, whatever the problem is, it doesn't seem to be located in the app.
Clearly, from the delays involved in seeing the correct picture, the app isn't picking the information up direct from the account, so there must be some sort of "intermediate database" involved (sorry, don't know an appropriate technical term), and maybe that isn't updating correctly for all accounts. Possibly there's some minor glitch in the accounts affected, or possibly it's a problem with the intermediate database.
I think that the recent update to the app was only very minor, to incorporate details of the new data rollover for Big Value Bundles. There's some hilarious stuff amongst the FAQs to be found via the '24/7 Support' bubble, but some of it is actually very useful!
I'd think that your best next step would be to contact Live Chat, and see if they can spot anything odd within your account which might explain why data isn't getting through to the app. But please post here about the outcome, so that the Tech Team can have a further look around if necessary.

I wish I could confirm that it's just me .... my other half and son all have had the same problem in the last month or so.
It's not the end of the world because as you say the 2345 service has improved in giving out this info.
As with all things Vodafone ... it'll work ...maybe...eventually.... :smileyfrustrated:

It's a problem judging how widespread a problem is! All we can say for sure is that two accounts I have access to don't seem to display it, while three accounts you have access to do display it.
The only thing I can think of is that both my accounts are ones I've had for some considerable time - one for c 20 years, the other at least 10. So both were on the old accounting system, and survived the disruption of the change a couple of years back. But you've been a Forum member for 6 years (2 years longer than me!), so presumably you've also had some/all of your accounts for some while? - Just casting about for clues!
