New Pay as you Go SIM

I have inserted my new SIM into my iPhone 5, and receive a 'No Service' message. How do I activate the SIM if I can't dial off the phone? Thanks in advance.

Turns out I needed a new sim, as the shop hadn't completed the activation properly. 4 sims later, the issue is now resolved.
