I've just bought a new PAYG R215 from the web shop. It was supposed to include some 4g data, but I can't work out how to activate it. The device is connecting to the network ok (on 3G only) but won't let me use data (the wifi connection is ok too).
When I check my account online it says there is no credit & no data allowance. If I try & top-up it says that the number isn't valid for top-ups (not that I want to add more money to a device that is currently useless)!

Interesting, I had exactly the same issue.
It is advertised including 6GB of data but nothing there when you turn it on.
It took me about 1hr on the Chat & telephone to resolve this and I had to direct the Vodafone call handler to their own Vodafone web page to point out the price included data as they were telling me I had to top up first.
It was resolved - but Vodafone systems should have been set up so it was loaded automatically.
Wonder how many people give up and pay twice?
