Hi - So as I purchased my phone via Carphone Warehouse I discovered I am not eligible for WiFi calling, so it seems my only other option is purchasing the Vodafone Sure Signal box, just wondering what peoples experience is with this and whether it would work with my Galaxy S7 Edge purchased through CWH... Is it like Home Plugs and is it recommended not to be plugged into surge protected extension sockets, can it be cabled into a switch rather than directly into the router etc.... Any feedback on this product is greatly appreciated as I don't want to spend the next 23 months with 1 signal bar in my house

@adekil You'll be able to use our Vodafone Sure Signal with your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
You'll need to have the device connected directly to your router via the ethernet cable which is supplied with the device.
The device itself has a front facing plug socket, so that you're not losing out on any plug sockets within your home.

It most certainly can be plugged into a switch rather than directly into the router. You can connect it pretty much anywhere you like on your home LAN - just for fun mine is connected via via a pair of Ethernet over Powerline devices (aka HomePlugs). All the SS needs is an Ethernet connection ...

If I were you, I'd go back to Carphone Warehouse and cancel claiming not suitable for use at home..
These boxes are a joke, many have exploded, they are a nightmare to setup with nearly every fibre broadband connection router available and if there is a sniff of 4g signal in the area (even extremely low) your phone will try to connect to that instead and dump your calls.
I am sick of having to set my Samsung to 3g only to force it to remain connected at home and back to 4g when out and about.
It is recommended to connect via a surge protected socket as recently Vodafone told Trading Standards that the reasons they explode (see my other posts) is due to surges on the supply when in reality it is bad design and overheating.
They run very hot, prone to overheating so there is recommendations as to where it is plugged in and not to use the front socket to stop it blowing up in the middle of night or while your away and tripping out your mains which usually resulting in a defrosted fridge/freezer.
Draw you're own conclusions..
Ih BTW, SureSignal may not work as you need a Vodafone account on theie website and only work with their own customers as is the case with WiFi calling.. (although I will stand corrected if wrong)?
You may be able to connect through "someone elses" depending on how the number is recognised on the Vodafone system, but you will need a Vodafone account to administrate it so may need to get it connected via another Vodafone customer to activate it.
It is important to report all failed SureSignal V3 using the links below to:
