Nexus 4 and 3g..

I've had this phone for 2 years and no issues

Now I get a '!' by the phone signal. If I switch on wifi and connect, then the warning goes. If not on Wifi, I can only get phone calls and no data.

This is not a location issue as I've been to London and Milton keynes and still unable to get data. 

Running 5.1.1

Ah ok.

I adding e your on the latest firmware.

In that case it maybe productive to approach the manufacturer. Lg provide a 2 year warranty.

If you tried a hard reset and that didn't work, try it on another WiFi network.  If it still gives issues, it could be a hardware fault and you may need to send it off for  repair.

Only just had the chance to try the WiFi on another connection today and it worked fine but played up when I got home again so must be a network issue.

Just weird that no other device at home is affected
