Hello,
About one year ago I bought a Google Nexus 4 online and I have a vodafone pay montly sim card in it, and it has been working perfectly. About a week ago I dropped my phone and the screen broke, I got it fixed and everything is working fine, except than when I put the sim card it says no service.
The phone knows there is a sim card in there, because if it isn't it says no sim card. Is this a common problem? Any fixes?
Thanks
Paco

Hi there
Sorry to hear about your phone. Either the SIM is faulty or you've damaged the aerial by dropping the handset. Try the SIM in another handset and see if you get signal - if you do, it could indicate that the handset is damaged. If you don't, it could indicate a faulty SIM card which can be replaced in your local Vodafone Store. It may also be an idea to try another SIM card in the handset to double check if it is faulty.

Mine is the exact same case. I am from India.
I dropped my Nexus 5, broke my screen, got it repaired at LG service centre and now it detects every other network but vodafone.
Please share a solution if you find one.

@Gemma
No. I was looking for solutions on the net for my problem when I found this forum. Although, I am on a pay monthly vodafone network in India and facing the same problem as posted above.
Looking for suggestions.

Hi molikamki,
Try putting your SIM in a different phone.
If it then works, your phone may be faulty.
You’d need to go back to the LG Service Centre and ask them to take another look at it.
If the SIM doesn’t work, it may be damaged.
You can pick up a replacement from your local Vodafone store.
Thanks,
Andy

Thanks guys - I went to a Vodafone store and the sim card is fine. The antennae was broken and the place I got it fixed did it again
