Nexus 6 - First Day Problems.... Help Please

Hi, I received my Nexus 6 today and havecbeen setting it up this eve, with the following problems:

1. Having loaded up my google contacts, the phone does not allow me to view group contacts or then send group SMS messages. This appears to be a common problem, and for me a huge stumbling block.

2. I can't send any MMS messages? Again this is the most basis of functions that my last 3 android htc phones have been able to do for years.

3. Is there any way of adding curser keys to the keyboard?

My previous HTC one m7 did all these things with ease, sureley the nexus 6 as a newer deviceshould be able to do these things with ease.

Please help.

The vanilla version of Android is totally different compared to HTC, Samsung, Sony, cos they mess around with it!!

So it takes some getting used to, I didn't like the stock dialer on the nexus, I never have, so I haven't tried sending bulk SMS to a group, but that's the beauty, do what you want, download exDailer from the play store, use that instead, select the group, and send a SMS!
