I recently got a new sim for my iPhone 5s. It was supposed to have been activated yesterday as I really needed it for today. It has still not provided me with service. Can anyone help me out?

Hi @Greg_MacMillan1

If I may highlight a few scenarios. ....

Can you try the SIM card in another phone and another SIM card in your phone as a process of elimination to rule out the phone or sim card that may be at issue.

If you have picked up a new Payg SIM card then try Calling 17298 to activate your Payg SIM card and to buy your first big bundle.

If this is a new Pay Monthly Sim then normally things are set up before you leave the store but can take a few hours sometimes. Try turning your phone Off and On.

If you've asked for a Sim Swap which is to move your number from one SIM card to another then this can occasionally take up to 24 hours to complete. The Vodafone Employee must have used a blank SIM card to do this as a sim with another number already attached won't work with a Sim Swap unless its a case of someone porting from another Network to Vodafone.

If you've opened up a contract through an Independent such as Carphone Warehouse then they can be a little guilty of passing on the information to Vodafone. If this is the case then a person needs to contact the independent.

Customer Services on live Chat or 191 from a working sim or Vodafone Landline Tel :03333040191 will be able to check your account for you.
