Hi would it be possible to have my sure signal box (serial no: 21196788067) resynced? Since i had to have a new SIM in my phone yesterday I've not been able to connect via sure signal yet the other mobile we have connected is working fine.

Hi Asanderson,

I’m pleased to see you’ve got this sorted now! :Smiling:

Hi jimpyle,

Thanks for your post.

I’ve re-synced your Sure Signal today so please complete this process by performing a factory reset as follows:

-Perform hard rest of the VSS unit by

-Hold in the reset button until all the lights go solid

-Pull the power lead out with the reset button still pushed in

-Continue to hold down the reset button and reconnect the power lead

-Wait for all of the lights to come on then release the reset button

Let me know how you get on :Smiling:

Thanks,

Jenny

Hi timb138,

I've resynched both, so give them a reset:

For Sure Signal version 1 or 2:

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
  • Once all lights display release the reset button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

For Sure Signal version 3:

  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

That said, the most common fix when you've switched SIM card is to remove the number from the Sure Signal, wait about half an hour and re-add it. This refreshes the system, and as both Sure Signals are not recognising it, something tied to the number like this sounds more likely to sort things..

Hi Dave,

thanks for the reply, i tried that but couldn't find a way to remove this number as it is the master on both boxes, any of the other phones could be removed and added again but not this one, seems to be working ok after the reset but very annoying that it takes so long to get up and running again.

I think you resynced them a second time as i got through to one of your colleagues on the phone who resynced earlier in the day. I wondered why it started to work then stopped working again an hour later.

Thanks

Tim

Hi timb138,

I’m glad you’re back up and running.

In regards to the owner number, the only way to remove this is to either deregister the Sure Signal or transfer the Sure Signal ownership to another number.
