Hi, recently I've been getting a message up on the screen telling me to restart because the is no sim in my device. I have been into my nearest vodafone shop and they supplied me with a new sim but still had the same problem. I then tried a full system restore but that hasn't worked either, I'm still getting this message about 5 or 6 times a day, sometimes a few hours apart and sometimes a few minutes apart. I am running KitKat 4.4.2.

Hi there
My initial reaction was that the SIM was faulty but as you have had that replaced, it kinda rules that out. Normally, I would ask you to do a factory restore of the device but you have done that to. (Great troubleshooting BTW).
Your next option would be to get the phone repaired. You can contact Vodafone and organise a returns pack or hand it in to your nearest store. Alternatively, you can take it into your nearest Samsung Repair Centre

You could also try giving the contacts a clean - just wipe them with a soft cloth. It's a long shot, but about the only thing you can try short of a repair.

Thanks for the reply, I'll go back into the shop and let them know it's still happening and see if they can repair it. I've seen other posts on EE forums where othe S4 owners have had the same problem, the only trouble is they've had no joy even after sending their phones for repair.
I'll give it a go though.
