I have been with vodafone for a few years now and i also have 4 lines/phones with them. Everytime one of the contracts is due to be upgrade or is getting close to ending, i normally get a call from upgrades and get a better deal.
On my main/1st Contract phone now has been out of contract since April 2016 and i have not had a single phone call to ask if i want to upgrade my mobile or tariff and its now the begaining of september 2016.
Because of this i feel that im not longer a valued customer and cant understand why they would not want to keep me as a customer considering i spend £150 a month with vodafone. Because of this i have chosen to give my 30 days notice to leave my contract but what i want to know is, is this normal because from my experience they normally call me and with no contact for me to upgrade for almost 5 months since my contract ran out and me paying more than i should i feel its wrong and would like to know if i have done anything wrong keeping in mind i have been a cutomer for years and always paid my bills on time.
Thanks in advance to anyone comments/help

To all them people who say vodafone dont call were wrong.
I was called today and was told they have had some computer errors and this is why i was not called. Also i was given the best deal for the new iphone 7 preorder.
Iphone 7 Jet Black
6GB Data
Ulimited calls
Unlimited texts
No headset charge
For £42 amonth
This is the same amount as my last contract but considering the iphone 7 cost more this year due to pound falling, i think it reasonable.
There was few negative comments made but i want to thank everyone else for your opinion and comments.

Actually Vodafone offer the same prices to both new and existing customers, so they don't just look after new customers. Also, as responsible adults we have to take charge of things like upgrades. If the company doesn't call, nothing is preventing us from picking up the phone and asking for a price.

Pesonally I'd rather see Vodfone investing in the network and technology rather than in call centres, diallers and making millions of nuisance phone calls.

I assume something may highlight up on Vodafone's systems when a contract is up for upgrade which then Vodafone's relevant department look at and react. I'm assuming as a fellow customer as I have no access to Vodafone's systems.
That said when a contract runs full term it automatically turns into a 30 day rolling contract. Some account holders I assume would be happy with this as they may want to retain any discounts negotiated. Some upgrade and some switch to sim only or Payg.
May I ask Does this really warrant giving your 30 days notice ? I appreciate you maybe feeling "undervalued"
Do you want to lose the mobile number you've been using for so long ? Perhaps consider requesting the account be converted to Payg or ask for a Pac Code and use it within 30 days by giving it to a new network.
Please take into consideration that not every Network provides the same signal strengths and Data Speeds everywhere, and in the same area. I assume to this point Vodafone have overall supplied a useable Service. Moving Networks may affect this.
Please consider not cancelling the Direct Debit until Vodafone have taken any final payment(s) and if applicable applied any Refunds. And you have received the final bill by post, paid by Direct Debit and a £0 bill and Sorry Your Leaving Letter has been received that confirms the account is closed. (Please retain this paperwork)

However you choose to proceed I wish you well.
