I was not a fan of the SureSignal box and after lots of reliability issues, router setting problems, etc, took the plunge and upgraded to new phone that supports wifi calling.
WIFI calling does work, but incredibly it currently does not support SMS. (Sept 2016). Even if sending was not supported, it should support reception - not everyone uses data basesd text services like Whats-App and since "upgrading" we have beome cut-off from important messages.
Can Vodafone commit to a date when a S/W upgrade will be released that supports reception of SMS.
Or alternatively when will the network coverage at postcode TA16 be good enough to make calls and receive texts whilst indoors?

Hi @Doozer
A valid question that has been asked before.
My thoughts are that as Calling Over Wifi is still in its infancy they will want to iron out things before opening it up to further features.

Vodafone never comit to a date until everything is tested and ready to go. There are so many things that could go wrong that it is best to err on the side of caution.

Hi there
You will have to keep an eye out for announcements about if WiFI calling will be updated to support text messaging. Vodafone won't comment on whether or not it will support it prior to them making a public announcement.
Regarding upgrades in the area, if you enter your postcode into the Coverage Checker and select see future coverage you can see if there are any planned upgrades to the signal in your area over the next 3 months. You can do this for each signal type.
