No one seems to know where my account is?

Hi, first time on here so not sure if I've posted this in the right place. But basically this has been going on since 24/8/17

a few months ago I lost my job and missed some phone payment bills, when I found new employement I tried to set up a payment plan for my outstanding balance which had clearly rocketed.

When I rang the payment plan team, I was told they are unable to take payment as my case had been sent to a recovery agency, I contacted the recovery agency and put into place a payment plan, one payment came out and then the next didn't so I contacted them and was told that my case had been sent back to Vodafone and to pay via them directly, which I attempted to do but was told for some reason on their system it wouldn't allow them to, I was told i would get a call back the next day and I didn't receive that call. For a week after this I contacted Vodafone every day to find out if and who I could pay my installments to and nobody seems to know where or who my account is with. I have spoken to 6 colleagues so far all whom have told me the same thing which is evidentially incorrect.  A few days ago I contacted Vodafone again and told I was sent to another recovery agency and to contact them. I contacted them and was told that my case had not been sent to them and to contact Vodafone directly again! So I have since tried to contact Vodafone and I cannot get through to a actual human and my phone number isn't being found on the automated system. Meanwhile my account is increasing more and more because I am unable to make payments. This has been going on for a while now and clearly my creditscore is suffering but I have no idea what to do next! I have continuously rang Vodafone and who ever they've told me to ring but it seems my account is just LOST. I can't request a call back because I cannot get through to anyone because I can't get past that automated system as it won't find my number!

I am beyond reason now and I really feel like I'm back at stage one. If ANYONE has any advice or experience with this please let me know. Thanks.

I'm not surprised your getting frustrated with the situation @Deeyx

In regards to the Vodafone Landline Tel :03333040191

When using the Vodafone Landline number key in your Vodafone mobile number after prompted OR if issues exist where the IVR System will not recognise the mobile number then you can opt to ignore the initial prompts to type in the mobile number, and then on approx the 4th request it should then change to ask to input 1 for Payg or 2 for Contract Customers.

Other than that every thread is read by the Social Media Team here who I'm sure would try to help you further.

Once the outstanding amount has eventually been paid the status on your Credit File should change from outstanding to Settled. However a Default will remain on a Credit File for 6 years.

Hi @Deeyx

It sounds like your account is in limbo between Vodafone and the collection agency and the agency have not yet received full details of the debt from Vodafone.

With your account having been cancelled by Vodafone and with there not being an account to verify, the best thing to do is to wait for one of the Team here to get to the thread.  They have the power to investigate of your behalf.
