No service on new phone and new sim

Just had a new iphone 6 and new sim but when I put the SIM card into the phone it has 'no service' how do I get service on the phone?

Is this now working? Sometimes it can take new SIM cards up to 24 hours to connect on the network.

Hi, did you buy from Carphone Warehouse? If so, do contact them. I bought from them, had the no service message. They hadn't 'activated' the connection to vodafone.
