It seems I was sold a lie when I spoke to Vodafone the other week as following it up this morning I was told that there are no plans for the Nokia 8 with them. I'm now considering my options and may be waving bye bye to Vodafone.

Hi John,

There is no point in me going on Live Chat, I have done this a number of times already and it's crap. I want to talk to someone about the availabilty of the Nokia 8, I spend 10 minutes on live chat before being told that the person I am chatting to is in billing so can't really help me but transfers me to someone who can. 5 minutes later I discover they're in billing too so they transfer to someone in sales who informs me that negotiations with Nokia are underway, management has agreed to it and they are waiting for Nokia to come back with a pricing structure, could I wait till Monday when full details should be available. So 11 days after hearing nothing I went back on live chat and was told non of this was true and If I wanted a Nokia I would be better off getting it from a third party such as Carphone Warehouse. I would have done this 2 months ago had I not been misled by Vodafone or am I still being misled. Who knows? no one in vodafone it would appear. As for the coming soon webpage, it never changes, I don't want an i-phone or a motorola, I've had enough of Samsung and want to go back to Nokia. If Vodafone aren't going to supply them I'll go to someone who does.

So what is the point of the previous administrator advising us to speak to am advisor? They can't help, you can't, the shops can't. I understand that you can't tell us but people shouldn't advise us to ring in when that won't help either. Checked the coming soon page just now, down to two apple products,...

It's a total shambles, I have asked in the shop and been told it's on the system but without a price so it will definitely be coming, the same on web chat, the same on a phone call, then I get told on webchat from the sales team that management have agreed it and Nokia are working out a pricing structure and it would be through the following week. 11 days later I get told there's nothing on the system they're not doing it and the only way to get one would be through a third party on a vodafone contract. That was then verified when I phoned the sales team. However my phone is on a business contract and Carphone Warehouse can't transfer vodafone business contracts, only personal so I'm back to square one. It all seems to depend on what day it is and who you talk to and which way the winds blowing.

Vodafone will not admit if they will not do a phone, I do t want iPhone or Samsung. I want HTC, google or nokia, even blu but they won't stock them as they are not mainstream phones, it's sad as I have been with them over 12 years and am now looking to move all 3 of my contracts.

I have just gone to car phone warehouse and ordered a Nokia 8. I will be notifying Vodafone tomorrow.
