Not picking up 3G when abroad

When I go abroad, my phone is not picking up 3G networks so I can't use EuroTraveller or internet.  My mobile data is on (picks up 3g and 4g in uk) and roaming is enabled, however it doesn't get 3G.  Phones of my friends do pick up 3G so I know signal is available.

It's a Galaxy Note 3, Vodafone pay monthly, Eurotraveller enabled.  It's happened in Romania, France, Spain, Italy..  I can only get 3G in the UK.

Any ideas?

Sorted! After 15 minutes on live chat and 10 minutes on the phone to tech services, they switched roaming on and off at their end, i took my sim out for 5 minutes and when i switched the phone back on, i have 4g and 35Mb/s! Thank you Vodafone tech services!
