Note 4 Marshmallow

Hey all,

when will Marshmallow be released to the Note 4? I have seen people in America get it, and all over the world, kinda making me jealous of not having it. any answers would be great!

Hi. Vodafone don't give dates for firmware releases. Its just a matter of keeping an eye on your phone for updates. You won't get any official comment.

Is it done via provider then? I thought Samsung just rolled it out on a date?

If it's a vodafone branded handset then they test the firmware and add their bits before (or even if) it's releases for the different handsets.

It isnt branded, I got it from SmartPhoneCompany/MobilePhonesDirect and any sim works in it, well my old o2 did, so does that mean I wont get it?

You will get it and it will come directly from Samsung and only they know what their timetable for updates is.

They tend to wait until all the carriers have issued their updates and they release the unbranded version last into the market.

Then it may depend on which country/market it was originally intended for as to if or when it gets releases.
