I've recently got an bluboo x9 android 5.1 phone and have been unable to get mobile data working despite trying several manual APN set ups that have been posted to these forums. The phone can connect to 3g and 4g, with the connection appearing at the top of the screen, but there is no data transfer.
I am on pay monthly. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Hi @Tom__
Try these settings.
Name : Key in Contract WAP
APN: wap.vodafone.co.uk
APN Type: default,dun,supl
Everything else should remain the same.

Hi
Try texting WEB to 40127 to get the Settings. Vodafone will send the settings if your phone is supported.
May I ask where you acquired the phone from ? i.e is it an import ? I ask as I've read they are Chinese brand phones and imported.
If so then Vodafone may not properly support the phone.
Also check in your Myvodafone that no bars are turned on.

Hi
I got it from the EU warehouse here: http://m.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_273830.html?wid=3
I have tried texting web to 40127, but I get a message saying my device doesn't support automatic settings updates.

Hi @Tom__
Sorry the short code didn't work.
It does look like an import which maybe the reason what's causing the hiccup.
I know you said you've tried the APN settings.
I use the ones from GeekSquad.
Are they the same as your using ?
Paying particular attention to the settings for Pay Monthly.
Tap the Menu button
Tap Settings
Tap Wireless and networks or More... (depending on your version of Android)
Tap Mobile Networks
Tap Access point names
Tap the Menu button
Tap New APN
Enter the following data into the onscreen form, without changing any other settings;
Name - Vodafone Internet
APN - internet (PAYG - pp.vodafone.co.uk)
Username - web (PAYG - wap)
Password - web (PAYG - wap)
MMSC - http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy - 212.183.137.12
MMS Port - 8799
Authentication type - PAP
APN type - If given a choice, select internet+mms, if the keyboard appears enter *
(As a check, the image below shows blue text in the fields you should have completed)
Tap the Menu button
Tap Save
Enable the newly-added APN by ensuring the line is ticked, or the radio button is lit by tapping on it
Check the notification bar for 4G, H, 3G, E or G with up and down arrows beside it, which will indicate your connection is working

Thank you for checking.
If your APN's are correct then it possibly will be the issue of it being an import.
If its unlocked then maybe try another networks active SIM card to see if data works with that as a process of elimination to see if the phone is at fault.

Yep, you'll get that message if the device isn't one that is recognised by the automatic configuration messages. As it is a phone that Vodafone don't stock, it would be unlikely to work.
If you've not been able to get the manual settings to work either, it would perhaps indicate that the phone isn't compatible with the network or is faulty. Perhaps see if you can return it and get a more recognised brand will be supported by the network.
