Note 4. Screen Lock

Hello. With my old phone, Noter 2, , after setting a PIN no to enable a locked scree, the screen stayed locked when I put the phone down for, say, 2 mins., I now have a Note 4. Again I've set a screen lock Pin, but the lock only activates when I switch phone off. Is there a way of using the screen lock as I did for the Note 2.?

Or can anyone suggest a way of " securing" the phone  and preventing use if I left it lying aroubnd for a time but switched on.

Hi. On my Sony if I go to settings then security, beneath where it says secure with pin, there is a box where you can set the time before locking, its android like the note so there should be something similar?

Hi Thanks but no- it';s a separate icon "screen lock"-not under security as such. And no way of setting a time  😞

I've sorted it-well grand daughter did!

I had it set to "Swype"-needed to change it to Pin settings-THEN set the time-out mode. So you were partially correct. Thank you
