PAYG Broadband - How Do I Find My Phone Number?

I bought an E160 USB dongle from O2 but reception around my area isn't good enough so unlocked it and bought a Vodafone MB SIM from Ebay
it connects fine using the generic HUAWEI software and I can surf etc. but I don't know how to topup without having a phone number.
The SIM didn't come with a phone number, in fact it came without any info., I only have the long number actually printed on the SIM
I've tried it in my unlocked Nokia 5230, to phone someone to get the number but it won't allow phone calls, I guess because it's a data card.

put the sim in your vodafone/unlocked mobile and dial *#100#
