Let's try posting this again.
Phone signal at my desk today is unusable - even Vodafone team couldn't hear me when they called.
Signal is sometimes very good - sometimes very poor. I'm sat in exactly the same place.
Coverage says that I'm OK (LL61 6LZ) - there are apparently no problems. No other phone to try Sim in.
Business user... have had to transfer phone to landline to continue my business (being charged 35p a minute inbound for the priveledge... don't I pay you enough already!).
SureSignal box useless as my broadband isn't fast enough.
Out of contract and so investigating other options.

@CadairViewLodge I've checked your local serving site (1069) and it's performing correctly.
Looking into your area, I can see that you should get a 2G connection, however 3G/4G are limited - you may benefit from manually changing your device settings down to 2G only.
Give this a try and if you're still experiencing issues, let us know.
