I'm trying to process an insurance claim for a damaged iPhone 5 handset which was purchased through Phones4U and Vodafone on 14/02/2013.

My insurance company said you would be able to provide this information. When I called your customer services number they referred me to this forum.

Please can someone mail this information to the email address I used to set up this forum account? Alternatively please feel free to contact me to discuss further.

When you purchased the phone from Phones 4U, you should have been give a receipt, that should be sufficient for your insurers to process the claim.

Vodafone won't be able to supply you with proof of purchase, the IMEI wont be on their database. You didn't purchase the phone from Vodafone, it came from Phones4U stock.

If you use web chat, they may be able to confirm when the phone's IMEI was last used on the network which would show the last usage.
