Please help | Top up and go from overseas, France

Greetings

I own a white vodafone USB stick that I used last Year (2009) in the UK. I am trying to use the topup and go feature of my account without any success. I woudl like ot pay by credit card.

I logon to my account but I only get the demo options and cannot view any details about paying with credit card
I only these 4 options:

view monthly / view pay as you talk
register for monthly / register for pay as you talk

If I click register for pay as as you talk services I get a message that says:
"You are already registered for this Service" even if I use the mobile ph number
(my username is my email address)

I am accessing the site from France and the device is connected to a vodafone compatible G3/GPRS SFR network

I apologise for the delay, were very popular at the moment.

What I think has happened is, that as you've not used your My Account for over a year, it has been locked. I've sent a secure email your way, if you can reply back, I’ll be able to get this resolved.

Hi La Canard,

Yes you can use your Top up and go USB stick in France, have a look here for charges and I have also included a link to some more FAQ about using your USB stick abroad which may be of help to you Click on any relevant question then choose the Pay as you Go tab at the top to get your answer.

With regards to using an equivalent French sim unfortunatley I can not answer that as I can't gurantee that you would be able to get one, we don't have any information on that, sorry.

Just to clarify, are the rates linked in valid for the old K3565 USB dongle too - I presume this is what David has...

I have read that this dongle is for UK only and only the K3565R is for abroad.

What happens if I use the K3565 abroad?

If I use a simply PAYG phone sim instead will the rate be as specified above?

Hi Chris,

I can confirm that if you use a simply PAYG SIM then the charges will be the same as listed above. In regards to using the K3565 abroad, there's nothing to stop you from using the actual modem, however the SIM card will be unable to be used.

I am going to Spain next week, so seems like best option is to get a PAYG sim over there and use it in the modem

Its unlikely the modem will work with a Spanish SIM since the modem will be preconfigured with UK settings.

Thanks, but I intend to reconfigure the modem to use the Spanish APN details etc,
