Porting Failure - Where to turn

My number was supposed to be ported in last Thursday 26th but failed and I'm still without my number.  I have had daily calls with the porting team but keep getting told to wait the magical 72 hours hours.  Each time I call nothing seems to have moved forward.  I have made a formal complaint but even this doesn't seem to progress anything.  I'm still within my 14 day cooling off period so have the option to cancel but then would my number be stuck in limbo.  Advise would be appreciated.

Thanks, Nick

Hi

The cooling off period with Vodafone is 30 days which gives you a little more time.

It is the porting teams that have control over this which is sometimes referred to as a split port if the port files have not completed as they should. This usually leaves the account holder with some services working and some not.

Please do perservere with Cs.

Vodafone own and monitor this forum so one of the Tech Teams maybe able to officially help further.

Best of luck.

Same problem here

I joined Vodafone last Friday 2nd of September and today 6th I'm still waiging for my number to be ported.

Quite a bad start with Vodafone I'd like to say

The customer service (phone and online) only told me to wait...I could have done it myself without a cs reppresentative

Thanks

Hi there

The first thing to be aware of is that numbers don't port over the weekend.  So if you requested the number port on a Friday it is only likely to happen the following week. Depending when you requested the port on Friday, it may only go through on the Tuesday.  So there is a chance it may happen this evening but will more than likely happen tomorrow.

With number porting, it can take a while to do, so it will be a case of waiting for the port to go through.

PWIAC

didn`t happen over night.

I am very reluctant to belive that will happen today, customer service is only capable to say that they do push and repush on the file. Apparently (maybe an excuse) there is a technical issue on the file and require more time.

Didn`t take Vodafone much to upset a new customer.

I`m glad they have 30 days cooling off period

Hi @Satho82

Has the port now completed or are you still having problems?

Thanks,

Meg-B
