Problem Transferring Files to SDcard Smart Prime 6

I have a Vodafone Smart Prime 6 that has a micro SD card installed. I transferred photos and video to the card from my phone without issue on my first attempt.

Now that my phone memory is filling again I tried to move another batch of photos and videos to the SD card and it is failing to move them.

The card is not full or anywhere near it's capacity, and the phone hasn't undergone any changes since I successfully transferred the first batch.

This is becoming a big problem. It won't even transfer a single image.

Is it possible that either that the files your attempting to move are corrupted or the SD card has developed a fault. Is it still showing as mounted.

As as process of elimination perhaps try the SD card in another phone and or try another SD card in your phone.

Sometimes turning the phone off and on as a soft reboot can help too.

Do you have the files in the root folder or sub-folders?  I don't know whether this applies still, but there used to be a limit to the number of files that could be stored in root, but not in a sub-folder.   If you're using root, delete everything (backing it up first, of course!), then create sub-folders and put the files there.   With luck, that'll solve the problem.

You should also be able to set the card as the default storage for the camera (got to Settings within the camera app).   It'll then create its own sub-folder, probably DCIM.
