Problems getting an unlock code

Hi, I'm a vodafone customer in Italy. I bought an R216 through amazon and I use a sim vodafone in it and so now I need the 8-digit unlock code. I have all the information about my R216 . But how can I get the unlock code? Thank you

Unlocking codes for Vodafone Uk Customers can be obtained via the Unlocking Nuc link in the Quick Links at the side of the Forum page. 

One possible issue is that Vodafone Uk cannot guarantee that an Unlocking Code will work while out of the Uk.
