I recently bought a 2nd hand Sure Signal 1 on eBay, as the fastest broadband in my area (I live in a rural village) can't cope with a new Sure Signal 3. I have tried to register the Sure Signal 1 on Saturday, Sunday and now today, Monday, but each time I try to register, the web system responds that there's been ato try again 'in a few minutes'. I'm suspicious that I've been so unfortunate duringt 3 consecutive days to have hit a temporary problem each time, so I'd like to know what I can do to get my newly acquired SS1 registered and ready for use.
How can I check if the SS1 I have acquired has been de-registered? If it hasn't been, what instructions do I need to give to the seller so that I can register it in my name?
I can give the serial number and my postcode if needed.

OK, so I can't even REGISTER the box (hence the message subject) - which I thought I would have to do before trying to connect it to the network. At least, that's what the "Quick setup" guide that comes with the box says...
So I fail to see how sending you traceroute information will help me register the SS1 - and I haven't tried connecting it to the network yet.
The serial number of the SS1 box in question is 21197121631.
When I try to submit the online registration form, I receive the message:
"Sorry we are not able to process your request because of following errors in your form.
It's been saying that since Saturday morning, so '...in a few minutes' is no longer helpful to me.
Can you tell me if it's still registered with the previous owner? If not, how can I actually get the box registered so I can start adding users and then connect it to the network?
Thanks.

Ditto. I have exactly the same issue. However I do know who the previous owner was but they no longer have a Vodafone account and haven't had one for quiet some time.
How do we get these working?

Hi James,I have contacted the seller and he says that he has successfully requested the Sure Signal to be de-registered this afternoon. However, I've just tried to register the box again and just got the same message.
Can you please help and tell me what's going on?
The error message fron the registration form is singularly unhelpful and I'd just like to get this second box registered so I can use it.

Hi bernardw,
For security, we can only speak with the original owner of the Sure Signal.
I’ve sent details to you here on how to get in touch with us.
Can you pass them on to the seller and ask him to contact us?
Once we’ve received their email, we’ll be in touch as soon as possible.
Hi jakecat,
The original owner will need to contact us here.
Once they’ve emailed us, we’ll be with them as soon as we can.
Cheers,
Andy
