Replacing my Sure Signal

Hi

My V3 Sure  Signal died on me at the weekend. One of my friends had an old unused V2 which he deregistered and gave to me. I have followed the "replace serial number" process on my account but the device has the two two white lights flashing for over 12 hours now. I've reset it and it is definitely connected to my router okay.

It also gives an "active" status on my account.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Rob

Hi

He might be well advised to contact customer support to properly ensure its de registered.

Also this thread may hold relevant information too...,.

It may also be worth trying a different power supply with the SureSignal (Version 1 & 2 ), as there have been some reports of replacement power supplies solving the issues. Even if lights / power are showing. They are available on eBay for around £10.

From member cineriv "But firstly, have a look around for a suitable unit with a 12 Volt output @ around 1.5Amp capacity that you could 'borrow' to prove the fault. Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, printers, routers etc.etc."

@Roburray Has the device been out of use for more than 3 months? If so you'll find it's been suspended and you'll need to contact customer service to get it re-enabled.

If it's been inactive for 12 months or more it will have been permenantly disabled. Your only option in this case would be to buy a new one.

Thank you guys!

I'm not entirely sure how long the V2 has been unused for although I did just deregister it yesterday morning. I have tried another 12v 1.5A PSU also.

I'm trying to get a connection to a live chat but there doesn't appear to be a pop up inviting me at the moment and I've tried the direct link.

Wish they could just say "this service is currently unavailable".

@Roburray - As mentioned by @Nabs, the Sure Signal you've been given may be barred due to no use.

Let us know how you get on with Live Chat.

If you need us to check, let us know the serial number of the Sure Signal.

When you say dead...

Do you mean No Lights on it?

Rob..

Regarding the dead V3... are you aware of the issue of them burning out and that Vodafone are replacing for FREE?

Please take a look at my posting https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Suresignal-V3-Overheated-Blew-Up-Exploded-Hot-B...

Where you gind details of how to report it to claim another one plus letting Trading Standards and the BBC know about yours.

The fact your V3 is 'dead' should have set alarm bells ringing but anyway... at least you know now.
