I'm going on holiday to dubai in September and i'm getting confusing messages about the roaming in dubai.
I called to confirm if Dubai would be included in the worldtraveller package and the person i spoke to confirmed that it would be. I then checked on the site and it said UAE is not included in the world traveller.
Can someone please confirm if i can take advantage of the world traveller whilst in dubai?
thanks

Here is the link for World Traveller http://support.vodafone.co.uk/Going-or-calling-abroad/Vodafone-WorldTraveller/38949447/In-which-coun...
Look at http://support.vodafone.co.uk/Going-or-calling-abroad/Vodafone-WorldTraveller/63730691/Which-countri... as "UAE (United Arab Emirates)" is listed there.

Hi @hervinder
The second link provided by @BandOfBrothers appears to be the list for Rest of World Zone 1, NOT for WorldTraveller.
I've not been able to find any indication that UAE is in the WorldTraveller zone, so I fear that whoever you spoke to misinformed you - perhaps they managed to confuse Dubai with Doha?!
Looking at this page, it seems that the charges for a phone on PayM would be
Make a call | £1.65 a minute. |
Receive a call | £1.30 a minute. |
Send a text | 35p a text. |
Send a picture message | 37p a picture message. |
Data | £3 a MB for up to 5MB then £15 for every 5MB after that. |
Annie.

However you can sign for Data Traveller which gives you 25MB of Data for £5, before you start paying £3 Per MB.

Even though the web page indicates charges for PAYT roaming in Dubai / UAE, PAYT roaming is barred. Only contract customers will get service

O2 PAYG works in Dubai well atleast it did in March this year.
So not sure why Vodafone should not.

Some PAYG phones are automatically barred from working abroad as a security measure to stop anyone who isn't authorised to use your phone from using it overseas.
If you'll be using your phone abroad and want to make sure it'll work, it's always best to let us know by giving us on 191 or speak to us via Live help so we can make sure the bar is removed.
Just to confirm, Dubai isn't included in Vodafone WorldTraveller. You can find information on the roaming charges on our website.
Apologies that you were previously given incorrect information regarding this.

ChazzD,
Thanks for the clarification as did wonder why Vodafone PAYG could not roam in UAE.
Obviously should have realised that it might have a Roaming BAR.

@ChazzD .. no, you are wrong regarding UAE. All vodafone PAYT roaming to Dubai is barred, It is not on a per subscriber basis and there is nothing that a PAYT subs can do to get this changed (short of going to a contract option).

Hi, is this something new. Earlier in the year I could use my. Vodafone payt here in Dubai, but. Now I cannot. I have spent an hour on the phone to Vodafone today, but that have made no mention of this not working, only that there has been problems for the last month, though I have not specifically asked the question.
