SIM activation

Hi all,
I hope somebody can shed some light on my SIM issue... I am trying to activate it by entering the details online, the firm asks me for the 16 digit code even though the SIM card only actually carries a 15 digit code. Due to that the form won't recognise the number. I am switching from an iPhone to S6.
Thanks,
Lee

Hi there

The quickest and easiest way to activate your SIM card is to pop into your local Vodafone Store - they will provide you with a SIM and activate it for you.  You normally will be up and running in a few minutes.

If you use Live Chat - they should also be able to help you.  You can contact them via the contact us link at ht bottom of the page.

Hi,

Are you attempting a sim swap.

"How do I find out my SIM card number? Remove the SIM card from inside your phone - the SIM card number is written on the white part on the back of the SIM card. It is usually a long number - 20 digits plus a suffix."

Thanks for the replies folks. Unfortunately I'm out of the UK at the moment and the 15 digit code I have was derived from doing exactly that.
Thanks,
Lee

HOW TO FIND YOUR SIM CARD NUMBER ON AN IPHONE

To find your SIM card number, from the homescreen:

Tap Settings.

Tap General.

The entry titled ICCID is your SIM card number.

It's always best to activate a SIM card whilst on the Vodafone UK network.  Sometimes the activation doesn't go through correctly if done on a foreign network. Did you get the SIM card from Vodafone UK?

I'd recommend waiting until you come back and then pop into a Vodafone Store.

It's the SIM for the S6 I need the number for. Sure does make sense to activate on home soil, however, the issue to me seems like it is purely down to the fact my SIM card has a 15 digit code printed on it when Vodafone are asking for a 16 digit..

Was the SIM card new and supplied by Vodafone UK?

It sure was, I received it before I travelled, just didn't get the time to look at it until now.

Fair enough.  Have you tried Live Chat - they can possibly assist you?

If not, you will need to wait until you get back and pop into a Vodafone Store.
