Hi
I was going to suggest changing wireless channel but if this is happening in other places too it sounds like you will need to contact Samsung uk support and or see if there is a Samsung Services Centre near you.
The phone has a 24 month warranty.
If Vodafone supplied it they can send it off for you if you pop it into your nearest store. Take time and date stamped pictures of it to show its condition before sending it off. Ask the store rep to note it's condition too.
Before you don't his and I know your not keen if this was my situation I'd would back up and reset. And ensure I'm on the latest firmware.
I assume nothing came back in a Google search if you've performed one.

When I mentioned changing wireless channel this was in connection to your home broadband router.

Does this happen only with your home wifi, or does this happen when using wifi hotspots while out and about?

All this is a bit difficult to diagnose at a distance, but you don't by any chance have a case or other cover on the device that might be obscuring the aerial, do you? I get periodic wifi drops on several devices, but the reconnection is normally quick and automatic. Do you have to do anything, or does it come back by itself.
On busy networks, odd things sometimes happen, but at home, traffic or normally fairly quiet and it's the best place to test this sort of thing. I assume there isn't a lot of traffic on your home network.

Hi. Sounds like a factory reset is required and if that doesn't work it may need sending off for repair.
I was going to suggest resetting your router, forgetting your WiFi connection then starting it all up again but if it happens elsewhere it sounds more like a fault on your device.
If it does go for repair will be factory reset by the repair centre so make sure you back everything up beforehand.

Before you go for the factory reset, is there an option to turn wifi off while the device is asleep (my elderly Samsung tablet has this)? If you set it to off (ie stay awake all the time), does that make a difference?
If not, as @63johnw says, it's worth trying a reset as it would be part of any repair process anyway. Be aware that it'll put the phone back to its out of the box state, so make sure everything's backed up first. If you need advice on that, drop a note back here.
