Sometimes a SIM works perfectly well in an old phone and as soon as you upgrade, the SIM fails.
The first thing to try is a replacement SIM from a Vodafone store. This may solve the problem.
You can also try refreshing the SIM on the network by going into your network settings and selecting an alternative network and back onto Vodafone UK.
