Samsung S5 not recieving text

I got a Samsung S5 mini a week ago and it has been fine but the last three days my boyfriend has not been recieving my texts (he's not blocked me I've checked) I can text everyone else in my contacts but not him. I can call him most of the time, with the exception of last night where I got the sound of dial up blaring down my earpiece. He can text and call me with no problems.

I can't think of anything else it can be - can anyone help please. Vodafone twitter is trying to tell me its my network coverage when it's certainly not that.

Is it possible that you could find someone else, preferably on Vodafone, who could send your boyfriend a trial text?  That would rule out a network issue at his end.

So we can establish the issue, can you answer the following:

• Can he receive texts from other people?
• Can he receive texts specifically from other Vodafone numbers?
• Can you send texts to other Vodafone numbers?
• Does this happen if you try your SIM in another phone? 
• Does this happen in one specific location or everywhere?
• Have you tried another SIM (you can get a new one in store)
