Is anybody aware when the nougat update will be pushed to the S7 Edge devices by Vodafone?

Hi Skyman513,

Yes l did no that there's a lot of new features in Nougat like the ones you have mentioned above as well as few others the best way to find them is mess around with your phone until you find them and when you do that way you will remember how to do it.

Hi all,

Signed up as I'm in a minor pickle.

First of all, thanks for the information regarding Nougat and how to get it on BTU. I was getting tired of waiting for so long and decided to flash using Odin (something I am not a novice at I might add).

I initially used the HOME_CRC, but the install was unstable (freezing and bizarre calling issues). I then flashed the normal CRC, my phone then being on BTU. I still had the same issues.

Deciding to return to VOD, I flashed a firmware from SamMobile for VOD. Only thing is it's now reverted my CRC to VD2 (!) the German Vodafone firmware. I'm not sure if this will restrict my access to WIFI Calling (which I never could get working on BTU). I also get minor annoyances like "LTE" rather than "4G". I used the OTA update to get to nougat after flashing.

Is there any way to get VOD back?

Thanks!

I dont think Sammobile has the VOD nougat firmware online?  I think it would be best that you flash the old vodafone MM firmware back on to your phone and then upgrade OTA?

others feel free to correct me

Hey robot,

Sammobile has VOD firmware for MM, but due to it being multi Csc, it defaults to vd2. That's the one I flashed

Hi stevie1,

Yes, the top of the list. I also flashed the next one (dated November) in case it was a misnamed file.

From the reading I've done over at xda, it looks like I might be stuck with VD2 incorrectly. Unless of course someone has a solution.
Apparently this is a known problem with multi Csc firmwares.

JamesW87, You could try either of these but they won't give you the VOD CSC your after United Kingdom/Ireland XEU or the United kingdom BTU. The XEU CSC will get the android 7 update at the end of March and the BTU CSC will undrand your phone anyway and should update to android 7 almost straight away but you should be able to stop the update if you wanted.

Or have a look on xda there you may find what your looking for on there if your not in any rush l will have a look on xda for you over the weekend and if l find anything l will post a link here for you.
