Hi,

Is anybody aware when the nougat update will be pushed to the S7 Edge devices by Vodafone?

Hi Stevie,

I have nougat currently but under VD2 CSC which isn't ideal!

Mimo, I didn't clear or factory reset it in actual fact, I assumed flashing the normal CSC was enough of a wipe. Maybe that was my mistake?

Yes when I done it and because I wanted BTU as my csc not VOD I was told by a guy best way to do this was first of all back everything up using smart switch.
Install BTU but do not use the home csc and make sure repartion is checked.
Once it installed and phone booted to the welcome screen turn off the phone and start it in recovery mode then clear cache and factory reset phone once more this will then change csc code from VOD to BTU.

Thanks Mimo, so would you say I'd be better off sticking with BTU? I switched back because I couldn't get Wi-Fi calling and the phone was quite laggy and kept dropping calls mid way through!

Maybe if I factory reset?

I like btu reason is no company bloatware etc get updates quicker etc but yes do a factory reset straight after installing btu just helps clear out any left over bugs

You can get WiFi calling. I flashed to btu and had no problems. Log in on your pc and load your Vodafone account. Go to extras/manage extras/manage minutes and turn WiFi calling off. You can do the same via app but it's under buy extras/manage extras etc...

Flash BTU using the csc (that DOESN'T HAVE HOME in the file name) then boot to recovery and factory reset / wipe cache. Whilst you're in recovery at the bottom it'll say which csc has been applied too!

Load and setup the phone.

For getting WiFi calling back

Text CALLING to 97888. Wait until you receive a text. You can then log in to your account and turn WiFi calling on... The same way you turned it off. You'll have the option appear in your phone again.

Hope this helps.

Ajay.

Ajay,

Perfect, I'll give BTU another chance but with a factory wipe then! Hopefully that will clear the glitches I have. I'd prefer that to this VD2, there are a few changes that annoy me enough to want to change again.

This is all about the S7 edge. I have an S7 and no update yet. Can anyone enlighten me further as to when I shod expect it?

Thank you.

The information within this thread is relevant to both models of s7.

It all depends really on who supplied the phone to you @Rusty5010

Hi @Rusty5010 the short answer is no, no one knows in what order and when the update is released, I have a Vodafone branded S7 and I got the update earlier this week, it's just a waiting game I am afraid.
