Send / Receive SMS texts over SureSignal

sargan
4: Newbie

Since Vodafone worked on local cell ... have lost all 2G & 3G coverage ... have ZERO phone signal. Both inside and outside where I live.

This I have been told is to be expected - cell is operating correctly.

For calls I have a SureSignal unit ...... not good quality but at least I can make & receive calls ......... the issue is I can't send or receive any SMS texts.

Just basic text - don't need picture messaging.

When I try to send a text I get "No signal found for mobile networks"

Is there anywy to configure Suresignal to pass through SMS texts ?

Update - SureSignal failed fully last week .. caused severe erroring on DSL, and on a power cycle failed to come back into life.  Device de-registered and new device installed & registered.

Initially kept having error on phone 'No signal found for mobile networks' (after many hrs) primary phone and other users worked fine.

However no SMS texts being passed (either way)

Asked to power cycle ... then asked to hold reset button for 40 sec .. then help desk re-registered SureSignal ... after a few Hrs all seemed OK.

Then yesterday my personal phone dropped off SureSignal all I was getting was 'not registered on network'

Yesterday support desk spent a long time adding and removing phone … then reset fully and advised users now fixed on system ….. still no access from my phone .. still saying ‘Not registered on network’

Eventually at 9pm last night I received a txt saying I can now use SureSignal.

At the moment it appears to be working – but of concern that my phone just ‘dropped off’ and could not reconnect. (User phone not one SureSignal is registered to)

Your internet speed is very close to the minimum recommended speed.

It’s possible that your Sure Signal is failing, when your speeds dip below the threshold.

When you notice the connection drop, try and do a speed test to see what the speeds are like at that point.
