Show my Caller Id when making a call

Hi,

 
I have been a vodafone Customer for 15-20 years on my first two phones showing my caller id when I made a call was never a problem. I have since changed ny phone another 5 times and wth each phone turning on “Show my Caller id” will not switch on. Two days ago I bought a new iPhone 6S and whilst I was waiting for it to connect to Vodafone net work I turned on “show my caller id” and it went green. As soon as the connection to vodafone network was made it greyed out and will not now turn to green.
Over the years I have visited vodafone shops many times but they have never been able to help me as suggested in this forum they tried giving me a new Sim card but that made no difference. My new phone now has a nano card and the problem persists.
I have tried calling vodafone on 191 but just get an automated voice, press button this or that. I have been unable to find a number to all where I can speak to someone !!! Very frustrating.
Can you help, please.
Or do I have to switch to another Carrier ?

Hi @KM195

 

The first thing to do is to edit your post and remove your mobile phone number.  This is a public forum and anyone has access.

 

As far as your number is concerned, the first place to check is your online account.  You will have the option on your account of showing or hiding number when calling,  you can change the option.  Other than that, it will be your phone settings, appreciate this is already something you have done.

 

If problems persists, live chat should be able to help with your settings and advise accordingly.

You should have three options on your call settings.

 

Network default, show and hide number.  Try rebooting the phone and choosing network default, this option will display your number.

 

I cannot find a way to edit my forum post. I tried just after I sent it as I realised my number should not be there.

 

I have been to my PAYG account and under "hidden calls" it refers me to calling 191 saying I can't change it on line. Dialing 191 gets me to an automated voice and non of the options allow me to get to this problem.

Live chat says there busy pleasde hold on. After holding 3 times each time for more than 20 minutes no one came on line !!!
