Solid red bar light, not other lights are active

My sure signal was working fine, but now all i have is a solid red power light, with no other lights. I have looked at the troubleshooting guide, but this combination of lights doesnt exist. I have tried to reset the sure signal by holding the reset button for 30 seconds which has made no difference.

Hi mills_chris,

Can you confirm which version of the Sure Signal you have? You'll see the three types in the troubleshooter.

It also doesn't sound like you've done the full reset. Can you follow the relevant steps here?

For Sure Signal version 1 or 2:

• Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
• Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
• Once all lights display release the reset button.
• The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

For Sure Signal version 3:

• Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.
• Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.
• Once the lights come back on, release the button.
• The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

If that doesn't help, we'll need a few more details. Can you confirm the following for me?

 - Your speed test results from here.
 - Your ping test results from here.
 - Your external IP address from here.
 - Your Sure Signal serial number.

We'd also need the results of a traceroute.

On a PC

• Click on Start and select Run
• Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok
• A black box will appear.
• In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter
• Paste the output of this command into your reply.

On a Mac

• On a Mac:
• Open Terminal (Applications, Utilities)
• Type traceroute 212.183.133.177 and press Enter
• Paste the output of this command into your reply.
