Sony z3 no signal

I havea Sony Z3 which is causing me no end of grief. I have just had it returned for a problem which has re occurred again! 

 

The he phone doesn't connect to the network. I have tried different areas of the country, resetting the phone to factory settings. In another phone my SIM card shows minimum 3 bars signal strength. So seems to be a fault with the phone. 

 

When i try to change the preferred network from 4g/3G/2g to 3G/2g it just switched back to the original setting, when I leave that page!!

 

This also seems to be draining the battery extremely quickly. Losing 25% in just over an hour.

 

any other suggestions to get a signal, or fix this problem would be very much appreciated. 

 

Getting really frustrated with this now, as what good is a phone that doesn't work as a phone!

Hi,

 

 

A person can only do so much through troubleshooting themselves when it's the phone itself at issue.

 

Factory Resets / Hard Resets and making sure your on the latest firmware is the most really one can do but if the modem is at fault theirs nothing you can do. 

 

Who previously looked at the phone ?

 

Vodafone or Sony ?

 

I would suggest the latter.

Thanks, I agree with you. But wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something simple.

 

Or or if it's common issue.

 

I sent the phone back to Vodafone, who said it had been sent to an Sony Engineer as they don't look at it in house. But who know, it worked for a week on return now it's doing the same thing. 

 

Have tried every power saving mode on and off thinking that may be the issue. 

 

So! Annoying as I also have a compact which has given me no issues what's so ever.
