The Sure Signal does not seem to work. I have tried resetting a few times with no success. :
What light sequence you're seeing: It seems to keep rotating. I get 1 and 2 lit and 4 blinking as if updating. Then it seems to reset and starts again with 1 lighting up, then 2 and then 4 starts blinking again.

I had the same symptoms and after research changed the power unit. It seems odd that it can power up the Sure Signal but not make it work but it was the case for me. See if you have another power unit that you could swap over to try.

HI Kelvinsum,
It seems like you have a version 1 Sure Signal, in which case the symptoms that you describe are almost certainly due to a degraded power supply.
As TimGriff suggests, have a look around for a suitable poower supply that you could try to confirm the fault. It must be 12 volt with a capacity of at least 1.5 Amp and have the correct (2.5m/m) connector. Such units can be found on external hard drives, printers, monitors, etc.etc.
Replacement power supplies are readily available on Amazon or Ebay and cost around £10-12 inc. delivery.
Regards,
Mike.
