Internet light flashing constantly..........   we got the new SS in dec and registered it on line where it ways "registered in your gateway" but every time i try and add a user it says "New members were added to your Gateway. Users invalid".

The SS just has the internet light flashing on it constantly and we are getting nowhere fast on the phone to vodafone - last phone call went through 6 different people and the answer we got was "your account is set up wrong and you are seeing the date we should only see, We need to change over your account type"

Apparently its noticable as on my wifes name on line there is the letter "r" before it on everything to do with the account, is yours like this too?    IE - "rJOHN SMITH"

i have tried so far....

we are on sky broadband and running a netgear dg834gt router

I have a few things running static IP addressed on the LAN but when i add one into the SS the router accepts it BUT the SS still just uses the next DHCP assigned one and will not use the reserved ip i have set for it.                         Why i dont know as i have an IP cam, printer and NAS drive all running static IP set up by myself......

Any Help welcome as we had it nearly a month and getting very fustrated with it.....

Hi Mark,

Thanks for trying your Sure Signal on your neighbour’s connection. I’ve checked your serial number against our systems and can see it’s yet to connect to our servers.

What lights are you seeing on the Sure Signal now?

Thanks

Andrew

It was on all last night and today - still Internet light slowly pulsing on and off slowly :mansad:

i can't go playing with their router settings but in sure it should have done something by now on either virgin media or sky broadband.....

next idea?

thanks in advance
