Sure Signal V1 Not working after new SIM

After a SIM replacement My phone has little or variable signal . The Sure Signal is not connecting succeesfully as it was before the SIM replacement.

I have tried resetting the SureSignal  and that seemed to work as, after a lot of light flashing, lights 1,2 and 4 are now on.

I rebooted the phone and still no service.

I understand that the Mods here can work some magic to make it function again.

Please could one do just that?

Hi @dephead2004

While you wait I found this information.

“You’ve recently upgraded and been given a new SIM, or had your SIM replaced.

It can take up to two hours for your Sure Signal to recognise a new SIM. If you still experience issues after two hours, log in to My Vodafone to remove and add your number again.

If the number is the registered owner of the Sure Signal, you'll need to temporarily transfer ownership to another number. Log in to My Vodafone to do this. Then remove and add your number, and change the ownership back to your number”

Thnaks for that. I will be patient! However I am the owner and I do not have another number to temporarily transfer ownership to.

You’re welcome.

It may also be worth trying a different power supply with the SureSignal (Version 1 & 2 ), as there have been some reports of replacement power supplies solving the issues. Even if lights / power are showing. They are available on eBay for around £10.

From member cineriv "But firstly, have a look around for a suitable unit with a 12 Volt output @ around 1.5Amp capacity that you could 'borrow' to prove the fault. Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, printers, routers etc.etc."

Yes I had replaced the power supply a few months ago . Neat trick. Thnaks

Don't think though that that is the problem as I have three good lights showing at 1,2 and 4 as normal. It's the new SIM not being picked up by the suresignal

@dephead2004 - With your number being the only one on your Sure Signal account, please deregister it and wait 24 hours to then reregister  the device.

This will then help the Sure Signal to recognise your new SIM.

Please let us know if you need any further help. :Smiling:
