Hi

I moved house and since then my Sure Signal v1 has stopped working.

I have hard reset all devices (Router and Sure Signal box), I have registered the new address in account settings, I have confirmed all ports are open (8, 50, 123, 500, 1723, 4500), I have dereigister and reregistered all phone numbers, I have deregistered and reregistered the Sure Singnal box, I have replaced the network cable........ but I still only get the first two lights.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

Sometimes when a Sure Signsl 1 or 2 is at issue then one issue coukd be a degrading power source.

They are available on eBay for around £10.

From member cineriv "But firstly, have a look around for a suitable unit with a 12 Volt output @ around 1.5Amp capacity that you could 'borrow' to prove the fault. Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, printers, routers etc.etc."

My apologies if you've seen this link : Please take a look through these Sure Signal Trouble Shooting threads :

Hi bandofbrothers

Thanks for the response.

I had previously worked through the troubleshooting guide. That is why I submitted the detailed speed, ping and tracert details in my post as that is what was suggested.

Not sure who can look at the detail?

Have tried to find an alternate power unit in the house but no luck. Don't want to buy a new power adapted until I hear back from am Administrator of sorts.

Thanks

@SureSignalDead

I’ve had a look at your Sure Signal and I can see that it made contact with our servers today.

Have things started working now?

I can’t see any other issues with your setup. Everything looks fine.

Hi Wayne

No, unfortunately not. I still have the same problem.

Top two lights are solid green but bottom light keeps flashing. Net result is no improvement in the 3G signal in the house.

Every now and again (haven't timed it but hours apart) the second light from the top goes off, will start flashing and then returns to solid green.

But not much else is happening.

Light 3 from top never comes on (unless doing a hard reset) as phone can't connect while 4 still flashing.

Cheers

Hi SureSignalDead,

I'm fairly sure that your problem is a degraded power supply as suggested by Bandofbrothers in post 3

If you can't find suitable unit to test with, they are also availabe on amazon.

Regards,

Mike.
