Hi,
Upgraded phone, which for some bizarre reason ended up with my Sure Signal deregistered.
I've been through a re-registration process which *appears* to have worked, but now the confounded thing just has two lights flashing. Tried the ridiculous reset button technique and that hasn't helped.
Serial number: 40111630329
Any ideas?
Hopefully I am not directed to the same "troubleshooting" page with broken links as the last several times this particular piece of technology failed.

I know you specifically asked not to be directed to this, but we need the information it asks for.
If you can let me know where any broken links are, I'll fix them.
Can you take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?

Wayne,
Thanks for your message.
The two links broken are the 2nd and 5th ones:
http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Archive/Steady-power-light-only/td-p/679063
It would also be helpful if the 1st landing page had an image of the what each "light", because it is not actually obvious which is which.
I have a red light on (power I guess), a flashing symbol which looks like a bar chart with a ring round it (system light?), and a flashing phone symbol.
There is not actually a link for two flashing lights, so I have clicked through on "Click here if the power light’s on, the system light’s off and the phone light is flashing." which directs me to:
This says:
For version 2 Sure Signal (the one with 3 lights on the front):
Obviously this conflicts completely with the link that I have clicked on, which said the system light was flashing, so I have further lost faith with this troubleshooter. You can probably see already why I didn't really want to be directed to this route.
Anyway, continuing down the thread:-
- I have run the broadband speedchecker and it is OK (I have 5MB download)
- I already reset the Sure Signal
- I haven't attempted to set up port forwarding - I did not need to do this previously with my router which hasn't changed
- I rang the pathping which means nothing to me. The text generated is copied below:-

BTW, the pinging process never seems to end.
Is that the info you need?
Thanks,

Actually, eventually it came up with this:

Your Sure Signal does not appear to be connecting
Please test it at a different location, preferably with a different ISP (Internet Service Provider).

That's just such a preposterous suggestion.
I give up.

I'm sorry you feel that way @baxybaxy.
We need to narrow down an issue with the internet connection or the hardware.
If you change your mind and manage to test at another location, please let us know the results here.
