Hi,
We have just changed router to an ASUS 1750 and now the SureSignal no longer works. I get a single steady green light (after complete reset - 30secs - its now a flashing light).
I have set up a static IP (192.168.118) on the router for the Sure Signal box and also forwarded ports 8, 50, 123, 500, 1723 and 4500 (for both TCP/UDP on all). IPSec, PPTP and L2TP are all enabled. However it is still not working.
I have been through the troubleshooting guide as suggested. I have internet connection and the router and Sure Signal box are talking to each other. I have reset numerous times and changed the ethernet cable but still no success.
I'm on standard BT line (not cable) and using a Vigor120 ASDL modem. All other connections and internat use are working fine.

Hi Debbie,
Please check within your router settings that IPSEC (or it may display as VPN traffic), is ticked.
If it is and you’re still seeing the green flashing power light, once you’ve completed a factory reset, please test your Sure Signal with a different internet connection.
Failing this if it’s still the same, this’ll indicate a faulty device.
If it’s more than 12 months old, it’ll now be out of warranty.
We can send it away for a chargeable repair.
Alternatively, you can purchase one from here once they’re back in stock.
Thanks,
Gemma

Thanks for your advice.
IPSEC setting is enabled and have also tried switching VPN server on, but still no success.
I can't check another internet connection unfortunately but it was working fine on my old HomeHub router when that was working. The internet connection is working fine for eveything else so I don't see that the connection is the issue.
I don't think the SureSignal box was broken, however as it is 5 years old, i thought maybe it is, and I bought a new one as everything else we tried was failing. However the new V3 also will not work and get the flashing power light and 2 orange indicators, so the same issue !
I am connecting to the internet via ADSL using a Draytek 120 modem. I have read contradictory details on this and other forums that the issue is the modem, however i have also read examples were it works fine.
Please can someone point me in the direction the set up to allow the SureSignal to work with the Asus Ac66u and Draytek 120 ADSL2+ modem, as I need this to run business from home. All was working until I needed a new router as my home hub wireless died !
Thanks
Debbie

Update.
I have managed to get an old BT Home Hub 2 router up and running again.
At first the SureSignal did not work, however I switched on the VPN port clamping on the hub (never needed this before) and now all is working fine.
This is great except I cannot use the HomeHub long term (the wireless signal is no longer stable) and i still need a new router. This indicates the Sure Signal settings I used for the ASUS router/Draytek Modem were incomplete/incorrect. I have followed the portforward.com instructions, and tried numerous suggestions from the forum, including putting into DMZ, OpenVpn etc etc.
At this point I hate to admit defeat, but I am likely going to take the ASUS router and ASDL modem back to the shop and exchange for a ADSL Modem/Router combo unit and hope this works with little configuration needed! Its a shame as everything else works brilliantly and it is a great router, but I live in a rural area and need a mobile phone signal at home for work.
