Sure Signal v2 stopped working after router restart

Hello, I use a Sure Signal v2 with BT homehub 5.

It was working fine until I restarted my router yesterday, now the red power light is on steady but the first white icon (bars) is flashing constantly.

I tried resetting the suresignal by holding down the reset button for 30 seconds but still doing the same thing.

Serial number 4011 2534 124

My network is fine, I can browse websites, have a steady ping (no jitter), use Skype and Facetime and download movies etc, no problems at all. I have about 30Mb download, 10Mb upload (BT fibre).

Hello @rollo47

It maybe worth trying a different power supply with the SureSignal (Version 1 & 2 ), as there have been some reports of replacement power supplies solving the issues. Even if lights / power are showing. They are available on eBay for around £10.

From member cineriv "But firstly, have a look around for a suitable unit with a 12 Volt output @ around 1.5Amp capacity that you could 'borrow' to prove the fault. Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, printers, routers etc.etc."

thanks - given it was working fine until yesterday I'd like Voda to check things their end.

Please take a look at our post here.

Just to add, I added all the TCP/UDP ports to port forwarding and enabled port clamping just to see if that helped - it didn't.

Also, the device is still showing "registered" in the "my sure signal" portal.

Given I've not changed anything on my end and it was working before I restarted my home hub yesterday, it kind of points to an issue on the Vodafone side. Anything that could be done to "resync" it or whatever would be much appreciated!
