Sure signal and BT Infinity

Hi,

Ive had BT Infinty installed and it workd very Fast, 80Down 20up.

My sure signal also works no problem, but when i have my sure signal plugged into the Home Hub the speed drops to 5Down 2up.

If i unplug the sure signal it stays at this speed, once i have switched off the Infinity and back on it then works fine all day on the 80/20.

Is there some settings i have to change or has anyone else had this issue.

Please help its driving me crazy.

Regards

Dan

I guess suggesting that you return it to the shop and get a windows based machine is out of the question? :smileytongue:

You can do the same thing by opening the Applications folder, Utilities, Terminal

then write:

traceroute 212.183.133.177

Hi,

Here is the reading:

traceroute 212.183.133.177

hiya mate,

what happens if you move the router and vss further apart?

fdh

Hi,

I have moved one around the corner of the wall and the other lower on the floor, approx 1.5m appart with a wall inbetween them.

This is making no difference at all.

Hi Danfrater,

To be honesty I’m not to sure about this one.

Although this may sound a silly question, have you tried to use a different Ethernet port on your router to connect the Sure Signal? (This is going off something I have seen on the BT forums)

Also can you confirm if there are any settings for traffic priority on your setup?

What is your MTU set up as?
