My sure signal was working fine until a few days ago. I have already unplugged and reset the device along with checked my firewall incase it has reset however it has the same settings as when it was working before.
My Setup when working (been working for at least 2 months)
- Sure signal plugged in up stairs
- Sure signal ethernet connected to a powerline network adapter (supports wifi)
- Powerline network adapter connected to router downstairs
My Setup when not working
- Same as above

Hi adamias,
I’ve checked your Sure Signal and this hasn’t connected to the servers since 18 November.
Therefore, I’ve re-synced this for you today. Please complete this process by performing a factory reset as follows:
-Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.
-Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.
-Once the lights come back on, release the button.
The Sure Signal will be back online in around 1 hour.
Let me know how you get on.
erkdarren – Please get back to us with your serial number and we can check this further.
Thanks,
Jenny

Does anyone have any suggestions for what to try next? i have read the forums quite a bit and dont think i have found what im looking for.
(Note i have also checked my Sky router, its a new White one and its set to PPoA, and have setup the 'services' bit to allow the relevent ports (8/50/500/4500/1733) through.

Hi erkdarreen
Thanks for providing your Traceroute, everything looks ok. Your IP address is on our whitelist. Your speed test and ping test seem fine.
To make sure it's up to date on our network I’ve given the SS a re sync from our end, can factory reset to complete the process?
Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.
-Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.
-Once the lights come back on, release the button.
The Sure Signal will be back online in around 1 hour.
Thanks
Sukhi

Hi
It seems to have done the trick however I am a bit concerned that you have to "resync" everytime this happens. Why do you need to resync the devices and what causes it?

Hi adamias,
Just to let you know this is something you can do yourself from the Sure Signal portal in My Vodafone.
It's the same with any piece of hardware really, sometimes your handset needs turning off and back on if it's having problems connecting to the network. If your computer is a little sluggish normally a restart can fix things.
If the Sure Signal hasn't connected to our servers for a while it just needs the resync to get things back on track. :smileyhappy:
Thanks,
Kay

I have the same issue - except I can fix it by powering off and on the device - however I have to do this EVERY day which isn't acceptable. I have a 10mb upload / 120mb download connection so there is nowhere near any issues with bandwidth.... this is after having to change the SS for the newer type when I went to an iPhone 5S as the old one wouldn't connect.
