Hello,

My sure signal stopped working. No lights at all. Also after resetting - nothing. Tried several power sockets as well. Not sure when this happened, but it was working before without problems.

My serial number is: 40134946298

What to do?

Thank you.

Hello @MW_frustrated

Please take a look through these Sure Signal Trouble Shooting threads :

https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Vodafone-Sure-Signal-troubleshooting/td-p/23917...

as these may help to resolve issues. They have links to the key things you can do to try and self resolve the issue you are experiencing.

Please Note : If the Sure Signal displays ANY signs of internal failure then unplug it straightaway and contact Vodafone Customer Services.

It may also be worth trying a different power supply with the SureSignal (Version 1 & 2 ), as there have been some reports of replacement power supplies solving the issues. Even if lights / power are showing. They are available on eBay for around £10. From member cineriv "But firstly, have a look around for a suitable unit with a 12 Volt output @ around 1.5Amp capacity that you could 'borrow' to prove the fault. Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, printers, routers etc.etc."

Customer service support-> Call 03333 040 191 or 191 then take option 2 three times and finally option 5 – straight to the Sure Signal team.

@MW_frustrated I can see your Sure Signal hasn't made a connection recently and is not up to date on our system.

I've resynced your device so that it get's updated. Please allow 6 hours for the device to regain connection.

If you're still having trouble after this, please take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?

@ RAHIM

Is it a version 3 with the pass through socket?

gsmsecure, not sure if it is a version 3 (can't check because I'm abroad now) but it has one with a pass through socket. Why do you ask?

If it has a pass through socket on the front and plugs directly into the mains then it is a Version 3. There are issues of these devices burning out internally and tripping the fuse/ breaker on the mains supply due to an overload of the supply curcuit.

If you are abroad and it is still plugged in, get someone to immediatly remove it from the socket as it could be a potential FIRE RISK!!

PLEASE SEE MY POST AT THE LINK BELOW:

http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Suresignal-V3-Overheated-Hot-Burnt-out-amp-Dead-...

This will give you details of what to do next and how to obtain a FREE  replacement, add a posting to mine with details at the link above where someone from Vodafone will contact to you to offer a replacement as phoning or calling into a shop is falling ini deaf and arrogant ears.

If it is the case yours has failed, report as soon as you can to Trading Standards via Consumer Direct on 0345 4040506 as they are currently investigating these devices.

It must be reported to Trading Standards as I am trying to force a recall and this can only be done by people like us reporting them.
